Abstract: Pseudomonas putida is a soil bacterium with multiple uses in fermentation and biotransformation processes. P. putida ATCC 12633 can biotransform benzaldehyde and other aldehydes into valuable α‐hydroxyketones, such as (S)‐2‐hydroxypropiophenone.
