Abstract:We theoretically investigate the optical energy absorption of crystalline silicon subject to dualcolor femtosecond laser pulses, using the time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT). We employ the modified Becke-Johnson (mBJ) exchange-correlation potential which reproduces the experimental direct band gap energy Eg. We consider situations where the one color is in the ultraviolet (UV) range above Eg and the other in the infrared (IR) range below it. The energy deposition is examined as a function of mixi… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
