“…The maximum powers drawn from the cell were 4, 5, and 7 mW cm −2 and the corresponding current densities were 8, 12, and 15 mA cm −2 at 750, 800, and 850 °C. The power densities obtained for the single cell LS‐NiO/LS/LS‐PNO in our work are higher than the reported values of NiO‐LS/LS/LSCF of the La 10 Si 6 O 27 electrolyte supported cells . This is attributed to the lower polarization resistance of the LS‐Pr 2 NiO 4 composite cathode.…”

“…The literature reveals higher ionic conductivity of La 10 Si 6 O 27 compared to conventional YSZ electrolyte in the intermediate temperature region and is well reflected from the conductivity data tabulated in Table B (Supporting Information) . A few reports suggest improvement in the ionic conductivity of La 10 Si 6 O 27 by doping at La and Si sites . There is still the possibility to improve the conductivity value through the hydrothermal route approach by suitable doping in La 10 Si 6 O 27 for using a promising solid electrolyte for intermediate temperature SOFCs.…”

“…The stress condition in matrix around LSO particles is also related to the TEC difference . In present research, the TEC mismatch between LSO (~9 × 10 −6 K −1 at 25‐800°C) and SNDC (~12 × 10 −6 K −1 at 300‐1100 K) could induce internal residual stress in the composites as the samples cooling down from sintering to room temperatures. The LSO particles are in compression stressed condition corresponding to P < 0, whereas the compression and tension occur in the radial and tangential directions of the SNDC matrix around the spherical particles.…”

“…It is reported that high sintering temperature is needed to get high relative density (>90%) . A proper doping level of Mg 2+ , Cu 2+ metal ions shows a helpful impact on electrical conductivity of lanthanum silicate as reported . In addition, various methods of powder preparation are adopted to accelerate sintering and eliminate impurity phase …”
