“…[𝑟𝑟 (𝑁𝑁𝑁𝑁 1/3 𝑁𝑁𝑁𝑁 2/3 ) 4+ = (1/3 × 0.69 + 2/3 × 0.64) = 0.657 Å , coordination number (CN) = 6] being very similar to that of Ti 4+ (0.605 Å, CN = 6), and the valence of (Ni1/3Nb2/3) 4+ is the same as that of Ti 4+ . Nowadays many studies have reported (Ni1/3Nb2/3) 4+ substitution in ferroelectrics, mainly Pb-based ceramics such as Pb(Ni,Nb)O3-Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 and Pb(Ni,Nb)O3-Pb(Hf,Ti)O3 [36][37][38][39]. These results certify that the (Ni1/3Nb2/3) 4+ substitution is feasible and efficacious to improve the performances of Pb-based ceramics.…”
