“…As for the third peak of mass loss between 700 and 800°C, this temperature range can be attributed to the de‐carbonation process of the carbonates, that is, calcite, vaterite and aragonite, which was due to the addition of CCP and the natural carbonation of OPC 50,52 . It should be noted that there existed a small band found in the temperature range of 600–700°C, which may be assigned to the slightly different decomposition temperature of aragonite, calcite and vaterite 53,54 . Finally, the CCP‐2.5 (14 and 28 days) exhibited the highest peak at a temperature range of 700 and 800°C among three CCP‐OPC pastes, indicating its largest quantity of the calcite in CCP‐2.5, which is in line with the previous studies, where the highest carbonation degree of CCP was accompanied by the largest amount of calcite with the greatest pressure adopted (i.e., 2.5 MPa).…”
