Enhancement of Brillouin stokes powers in multiwavelength fiber laser utilizing band‐pass filter

Abstract: combination with the tunable filter function, the linear-cavity fiber laser can stably lase two wavelengths simultaneously and can be easily tuned dynamically. The relationship between the FPLD driving current and the SMSR of this dual-wavelength laser were also discussed.

“…Increasing the number of the Stokes line generation was another goal of many researchers [13][14][15]. A simple and efficient method to increase the number of generated Stokes lines was proposed by [16] insering a short length of passive EDF into the cavity.…”

“…Multiwavelength fiber lasers have attracted a lot of interests in recent years and found many applications in optical spectroscopy , optical sensors , microwave and millimeter‐wave signal generations , and for wavelength division multiplexing systems . Different methods have been demonstrated by many researchers to generate multiwavelength fiber lasers . Among these methods, the multiwavelength Brillouin‐erbium fiber lasers (BEFLs) have demonstrated distinguished characteristics such as precise wavelength spacing, narrow linewidth source, and stable multiwavelength operation at room temperature.…”
