“…Figure a presents the average steady-state temperature of the integrated GF-SWCNT heaters, which were found to respond almost linearly to the applied external V bias . This is in agreement with previous studies related to electrothermal devices. ,, Linear behavior with respect to V bias is a prerequisite for the reliable function of the device and indicates good operation within the tested limits.…”

“…In the cooling region, after the applied voltage had been turned off, the temperature of the CMs cooled down to room temperature within 2 min. The 102 nm thick CMs with a transmittance of 80% showed a T max of 116 °C with a heating rate of 8.78 °C s −1 at an applied voltage of 60 V, which is comparable to that of electric heating films prepared with carbon nanomaterials, as summarized in Table . As shown in Figure , there were no noticeable changes in the T max and response time at an applied voltage of 60 V for 10 days, indicating high operational durability of the prepared heaters.…”

“…In particular, eco-friend and energy efficient smart windows combined with the Internet of Things to communicate with human indoors are required for next-generation smart buildings and automobiles. Because the portion of windows in recent buildings and automobiles has rapidly increased, the development of multi-functional smart windows critically influences the environment of building and automobile interiors 8,9 .Among several functions of the smart windows, the transparent thin film heater (TTFH) to remove frost and ice on the surface of window is very important 10,11 . In particular, the TTFHs require hydrophobic surface for the self-cleaning of the smart window, and good flexibility for the curved surface of windows.…”
