Abstract: Energy-efficient hydrogen production is one of the key factors for advancing the hydrogen-based economy. Alkaline water electrolysis is the main route for the production of high-purity hydrogen, but further improvements of hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalysts are still needed.
