Enhancement of power quality using microprocessor based shunt active power filter for unbalanced load

Abstract: Power quality is the most significant factor of power sector. The end user equipment such as induction motor, inverters, rectifiers inject harmonics into power system that influences the quality of power delivered. The presence of harmonics forces the use of instantaneous reactive power theory to calculate instantaneous power that helps in finding the compensating currents to eliminate harmonics. The control action required by active filter is accomplished by STM32F303RET6 microcontroller. Single phase inducti… Show more

“…Mechanisms for achieving low mutual coupling effects have been proposed in [7]- [9], but the designs of these studies require a distance between antenna pairs to maintain good isolation. In [10], a simple small-sized planar loop antenna with dimensions of 15×27 mm 2 is considered, which we will use as the antenna under study. This antenna includes tuning lines to achieve good impedance matching for the wireless wide area network/long-term evolution (WWAN/LTE) bands.…”

“…The overall efficiency of any PV system is determined by its ability to extract reference current signals. Control techniques for grid-connected solar PV include Akagies instantaneous reactive power (IRP) theory [34]- [39], SRF theory [40]- [48], leaky least mean square (LMS) [49], and LMS-least mean fourth (hybrid LMS-LMF) [50]- [52]. All of these theories proposed different methods for obtaining reference currents.…”
