A ride-sharing system provides many advantages. It reduces energy consumption. Moreover, it mitigates traffic congestion. Furthermore, it provides benefits to drivers and passengers in that they share travel costs (gas, toll ticket). Ride-sharing has been getting very popular since the COVID-19 pandemic. Since COVID-19 is very contagious and spread by infected people via coughs, sneezes, or talking, people avoid using public transportation to get the disease. People prefer to travel with a few people to protect their health. To prevent people from getting the disease and to have the advantages of a ride-sharing system, we introduce a ride-sharing system in which a driver only travels with a passenger for each event. Traveling with only one person provides advantages to both the driver and passenger. The driver (passenger) not only shares the cost of the trip but also reduces the risk of getting or spreading the disease. This paper proposes a smart-contract-based ride-sharing system that uses a $Vickrey$ (second highest bid) auction mechanism during a pandemic to determine the passenger. The system provides a decentralized, transparent, trackable, verifiable, and secure ride-sharing with the help of consortium blockchain. Using smart contracts in the system allows users’ bids to be transparent and verifiable. Furthermore, the proposed system provides a secure and lightweight mechanism to protect users' (drivers and passengers) travel data (locations and cost of travel). Their travel data for each event is going to be unlinkable.

The traditional centralized knowledge base paradigm, exemplified by platforms like Wikipedia, grapples with numerous challenges like a solitary point of collapse, issues related to transparency, and potential integrity concerns in articles. To address these shortcomings, an innovative blockchain-enabled alternative is proposed which leverages the inherent features of transparency and decentralization offered by blockchain technology. This system ensures a secure and tamper-proof recording of articles by capitalizing on the unique attributes of blockchain. However, the integration of blockchain alone does not completely eradicate challenges, as instances of vandalism persist, and a robust validation process for articles within the system is lacking. To overcome these issues, our research aims to proactively prevent the inclusion of falsified articles by implementing a consortium blockchain by utilizing Contenders Selection (CS) and Dynamic Consortium Membership Determination (DCMD) algorithms. Furthermore, we address the challenge of missing articles from the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) using Proof-of-Existence (POE) algorithm. This holistic solution is designed to significantly enhance the efficiency of the system and elevate the overall quality of articles. Our research presents promising results, with the percentage of approved articles compared to proposed articles falling within the range of 10% to 15%. Consequently, the data volume of the blockchain network in our system is 66.7% more effective than the existing decentralized Wikipedia model. Notably, the average block time of our proposed system exhibits a commendable 21% improvement compared to the existing system, emphasizing the potential for increased efficiency and reliability in our blockchain-enabled knowledge base.

The With the advancement of computer, electronic, and telecommunications technology, there has been a significant change in the world of applications, which makes it easier for humans to carry out various activities, both at work and in interacting on social media.CV. Albahritech faces the challenge of not having a quick and easy office equipment maintenance application. This limitation can have a negative impact on company operations. Currently, the maintenance process still relies on communication via WhatsApp or phone, which causes customer appointments to be missed or forgotten due to the large number of calls for customer maintenance services that cannot be fulfilled. In addition, transactions and visit reports are not properly recorded, which can cause customers to experience delays in getting treatment services or even cause customers to look for other treatment services.The currently designed application uses a blockchain-like decentralized network model, known as a DApp. This DApp has several important features that utilize blockchain technology[1], including the ability to make payments using cryptocurrencies such as Ether and the feature to record service lists for customers. In this application, smart contracts are used to create a mechanism of trust and automation in agreements or deals between the parties involved. This ensures that agreements and transactions made within the app are transparent, secure, and without the need for a third party. In addition, the app also uses IPFS for customer data storage. IPFS is a peer-to-peer file distribution system that serves to store and distribute data on the interne[2]t. The use of IPFS in this application enables distributed and decentralized data storage, thereby improving data security and reliability.
