Enhancing the Catalytic Performance of a CYP116B Monooxygenase by Transdomain Combination Mutagenesis

Abstract

The front cover artwork for Issue 14/2018 is provided by the Laboratory of Biocatalysis and Synthetic Biotechnology, East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). As shown in the image, a simple transdomain combination mutation strategy (TDCM) was proposed and employed for engineering a self‐sufficient cytochrome P450 monooxygenase (P450LaMO), with significantly improved turnover frequency and electron coupling efficiency.
