In today's fast-paced digital world, educational institutions must keep up with technological advancements to stay competitive and effective. This study focuses on designing Enterprise Architecture (EA) for an educational foundation, specifically its Shared Service Department, using the TOGAF ADM 9.2 framework. The aim is to enhance the foundation's IT cybersecurity maturity as part of its digital transformation efforts. Through a detailed analysis, challenges such as inadequate business process mapping, documentation procedures, human resource management, and information system organization were identified, highlighting the need for systematic IT governance and architecture. The research culminates in a tailored EA blueprint covering areas like business processes, data management, and applications. This blueprint acts as a strategic guide for improving operations, optimizing resources, and fostering innovation within the foundation. By integrating existing applications and developing targeted solutions, the design aims to enhance service delivery and move the foundation towards international educational excellence standards. The findings emphasize the importance of continuous adaptation to evolving technology and the need for ongoing refinement in areas like infrastructure and migration planning. Overall, this research provides valuable insights and practical Enterprise blueprint recommendations for improving operational efficiency and achieving strategic goals in today's digitalized educational landscape.

Enterprise architecture (EA), although matured in more than 30 years of ongoing research, receives more importance with the increasing dependency of business in IT and the growing complexity of IT systems. The integrated management of a companies’ goals, structures, and processes with respect to the business and IT elements, as well as the representation of impacts triggered by planned changes is educated in different ways at many universities all over the world. There are several techniques, methods, tools, and approaches to transfer the knowledge from the educators to the students, giving them the qualification to support their future employers in handling the EA challenges modern companies are facing. This work gives a detailed comparative analysis of more than twenty international educational offers regarding Enterprise Architecture Management, carves out the commonalities and finds two prototypical courses as a best-practice combining the strongest matches for Business Informatics and Computer Science studies alike.

Recently, quality assurance has attracted widespread attention in higher education institutes in developing countries. Such initiatives mainly focus on standardising higher education while improving the relevance of degree programs. Nevertheless, current quality assurance mechanisms, particularly in developing countries, heavily rely on a document based manual review process. Given the drawbacks associated with such processes, the necessity of technology-based solutions is being recognised. Even though information system applications are widely used nowadays by the universities to increase the efficiency, quality improvement aspects have not been given due focus. TOGAF is a widely accepted cyclic approach for developing enterprise architecture. This study demonstrates how a TOGAF based business architecture can be used to analyse and improve the existing teaching-learning process in higher education as an integral part of quality assurance.
