Abstract: A alface é uma espécie de grande importância tanto para o sistema convencional quanto no sistema orgânico, elevando a importância da produção de sementes de alta qualidade. As sementes podem ser produzidas em condições naturais à pleno sol, quanto em condições controladas em casas de vegetação, onde o ambiente de cultivo pode interferir no vigor das sementes.
