The aim of this paper was to provide a Building Information Modeling (BIM)-based management system for the Civil Engineering School (ETSICCP) at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid with a long-term development perspective. A Building Information Modeling (BIM) management system for complex infrastructure facilities demands a detailed 3-Dimensional model according to future management requirements. In this study, the infrastructure of the ETSICCP was modeled on various phases and synchronized with not only external educational information but also with facility management (FM) parameters. The methodology followed in this study ranges from the blank paper to a BIM-based detailed FM system oriented to educational scheduling throughout the infrastructure providing real time information synchronized with spreadsheets and a 3-D model. The result of this paper provides multiples future management lines, like COVID-19 BIM-management or synchronization with local public transports’ applications (mainly metro and bus transport systems), through a public accessible Application Programming Interface (API). The significance of this research relies on the generation of an information and management system, based on a BIM model of a university campus. This project was designed for all the agents involved in its operation, students, lecturers, and managers. All these agents have a level of access appropriate to their needs and functions within the institution.

Resumo O conceito de cidades inteligentes, apesar de não possuir uma definição universalmente aceita, está cada vez mais sendo discutido. Com o aumento significativo da porcentagem da população que vive em cidades e o consequente aumento do uso dos recursos, novos modelos de cidades são desenhados para que tal crescimento possa ser sustentável. A energia é um dos principais recursos necessários para o homem, e novas formas de geração de energia devem ser consideradas. Devido às condições geográficas brasileiras, o uso da energia fotovoltaica aparenta ser uma excelente opção, porém hoje corresponde a aproximadamente 2% da energia total brasileira. Este trabalho buscou relacionar de que forma as condições meteorológicas influenciam na geração de energia de painéis fotovoltaicos, de modo a permitir a criação de ferramentas que identifiquem regiões com alto potencial de geração de energia fotovoltaica. As variáveis meteorológicas foram consideradas como variáveis independentes do modelo proposto, que buscava explicar a variável dependente Energia. Os resultados demonstraram uma potencial geração de energia solar fotovoltaica em diversos locais no Brasil, já que a incidência de radiação solar foi identificada como a variável que mais explica a energia gerada, e o país possui altas taxas desta variável em toda sua extensão.

The absence of the tyres monitoring system on vehicle has caused difficulty for driver to check the pressure and temperature of the tyres in real time. Besides that, due to the large geographical area of rural area where the distribution of petrol station with air pump might not be equally distributed, certain area is hard to access air pump. The abnormal pressure and increases in temperature on tyre lead to longer braking distance, tyre blowouts and related issues. The paper describes the deployment of IoT sensors for monitoring application in tyres and data is accessible on mobile app. This monitoring system consists of two sensors to measure the temperature and pressure of the tyre using ESP32 microcontroller board and uploaded into the cloud platform using Wi-Fi technology. While Blynk the mobile app is designed to collect the informative data from the cloud platform and the data is represented in graphical representation using open source Cloud platform. It is made available for real-time monitoring data. Apart from that, this system also incorporates alert system to provide a scalable monitoring system as well as alerting the user for any abnormal reading of the tyre.
