Abstract:Photodynamic therapy is an anti‐cancer treatment that requires illumination of photosensitizers to induce local cell death. Current near‐infrared organic photosensitizers are built from large and non‐modular structures that cannot be tuned to improve safety and minimize off‐target toxicity.
