Eolian additions to soil

Abstract: Dust s torms have long been of interest to mankind. "Dry fog" in parts of Australia, sirocco dust storms of the Sahara, harmatan haze in northern and central Africa, and "red rains" (reddish dust carried in rain fall) of Europe caught the attention of men in historic times, while extensive loess (silt) and dune sand and soils formed thereon have received scientific attention.in U.
