<p class="abstract">Eosinophilic Cellulitis is also known as Wells syndrome is uncommon dermatitis, characterized by the infiltration of eosinophils in the dermis. The exact etiology of the disease is unknown. Clinically, it is highly varied but commonly the presentation is pruritic erythematous plaque. We report a case of one and half years old healthy boy who developed itchy bullae on the dorsum of his hand with multiple erythematous papules over his extremities that started immediately after his vaccines. Histopathological examination of the lesion showed infiltrate eosinophils with typical flame figures. The case was successfully treated with corticosteroid course. This report aims to present a case of eosinophilic cellulitis (Wells syndrome) triggered by the vaccine with a literature review of the disease. In conclusion, atypical presentation of any inflammatory disorder or that not responding to appropriate treatment should trigger suspicion of eosinophilic cellulitis. Up to now, systemic corticosteroids are the most successful treatment of eosinophilic cellulitis. </p>

Demam berdarah masih menjadi masalah serius. Banyaknya kasus Demam Berdarah di dunia disebabkan oleh iklim yang tidak stabil dan curah hujan yang tinggi pada musim penghujan, yang berpotensi menjadi sarana perkembangbiakan nyamuk Aides Egypt. Tes darah merupakan alat diagnostik utama untuk mendeteksi beberapa penyakit seperti leukemia, demam berdarah, talasemia dan malaria. Perubahan jumlah sel darah ini dengan jelas mengidentifikasi penyebab penyakit. Penelitian ini berfokus pada sel darah merah dan sel darah putih dalam membantu dokter mendiagnosis pasien dengan virus demam berdarah, dimana Tes Hematologi dalam mendiagnosis demam berdarah memang memperhatikan persentase tingkat jumlah sel darah merah dan sel darah putih. Dalam Tes Hematologi, dilakukan penghitungan Hematokrit dan Hitung Darah Lengkap, yang merupakan metode umum untuk mendiagnosis infeksi dengue. Ukuran trombosit yang kecil membuat teknik ini tidak digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini mengusulkan algoritma Convolutional Neural Network untuk mengenali fitur set data sel darah dan mendeteksi demam berdarah berdasarkan masukan sel darah. Hasil penelitian yang dihasilkan menghasilkan metode dan sistem yang dapat mendiagnosis pasien DBD dengan memanfaatkan citra hapusan sel darah, sehingga dapat mempercepat proses diagnosis dan menghemat biaya.Kata kunci—demam berdarah, klasifikasi, Convolutional Neural Network

Methodological aspects for cognitive architectures construction: a study and proposal

In the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), efforts to achieve human-like behavior have taken very different paths through time. Cognitive Architectures (CAs) differentiate from traditional AI approaches, due to their intention to model cognitive and behavioral processes by understanding the brain’s structure and their functionalities in a natural way. However, the development of distinct CAs has not been easy, mainly because there is no consensus on the theoretical basis, assumptions or even purposes for their creation nor how well they reflect human function. In consequence, there is limited information about the methodological aspects to construct this type of models. To address this issue, some initial statements are established to contextualize about the origins and directions of cognitive architectures and their development, which help to outline perspectives, approaches and objectives of this work, supported by a brief study of methodological strategies and historical aspects taken by some of the most relevant architectures to propose a methodology which covers general perspectives for the construction of CAs. This proposal is intended to be flexible, focused on use-case tasks, but also directed by theoretic paradigms or manifestos. A case study between cognitive functions is then detailed, using visual perception and working memory to exemplify the proposal’s assumptions, postulates and binding tools, from their meta-architectural conceptions to validation. Finally, the discussion addresses the challenges found at this stage of development and future work directions.
