Eosinophilic fasciitis during pregnancy: case report and review of literature

Abstract: The authors describe the case of a 23-year-old woman who was referred to the rheumatologist due to symmetrical and progressive stiffness, induration, and swelling of arms and thighs at the 12th week of her first gestation. The characteristic clinical aspect of 'peau d'orange', associated to the histopathologic results of the deep biopsy of the skin confirmed the diagnosis of eosinophilic fasciitis.
