Abstract: Cardiac amyloidosis is an infiltrative disease that causes progressive myocardial impairment secondary to amyloid fibril deposition in the extracellular space of the myocardium. Many amyloid precursors, including transthyretin protein, are known to determine cardiac damage by aggregating and precipitating in cardiac tissue.
