Abstract:Lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) a member of family Arenaviridae genus Mammarenavirus, discovered in 1933 from a patient with meningoencephalitis, persists as a significant zoonotic threat, primarily harbored by house mice and linked to aseptic meningitis in humans.
