Abstract:Chlamydial infections pose a significant threat to koala populations. Chlamydia pecorum (C. pecorum) remains the major chlamydial species affecting koala health, both in the wild and in captivity, and chlamydial infections are considered important factors affecting the long-term survival of koalas.
