“…Some cases can show epidermotropism. 53 As opposed to cases of cutaneous HL, solid sheets of large EBV+ cells are seen. The malignant cells show strong (not weak) PAX-5 and CD30 expression, and are also positive for CD20 and CD79a, as opposed to CHL.…”

“…Few cases have been reported of cutaneous B-cell lymphoma showing histologic features of T-cell lymphomas ( Table 1 ) 2 4 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 . Chui et al 4 reported a patient with pruritic rashes on the trunk, upper and lower limbs.…”

“…Wu et al 10 reported three cases presenting polymorphic EBV+ lymphocytes, including centroblasts, immunoblasts and sheets of immunoblastic cells. In addition, the tumors showed diffuse expression of CD20, CD19, CD79a, and PAX5.…”

“…Primary and secondary cutaneous B-cell lymphomas rarely show epidermotropic lymphoid infiltrates. Isolated reports or short series of epidermotropic diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, "mixed-cell lymphoma," chronic lymphocytic leukemia, Epstein-Barr virus-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, 4 and primary cutaneous B-cell lymphoma with an accompanying epidermotropic reactive T-cell population have been reported; [1][2][3][4][5] however, the concept of epidermotropic B-cell lymphoma has been proposed to define a distinctive clinical and histopathologic presentation of extranodal B-cell marginal zone lymphoma (MZL), which often manifests as a generalized cutaneous eruption and characteristically precedes the presentation of a splenic MZL (SMZL) subtype. Some of these cases may initially fulfill the criteria for primary cutaneous MZL if splenic, bone marrow, and/or peripheral blood involvement cannot be demonstrated after staging.…”
