Epidural anaesthesia with bupivacaine does not cause increased oedema in small gut anatomoses in pigs

Abstract: Surgery did not increase gut wall water content, but acute oedema formation resulted in the peri-resectional mesenterial tissue, more prominently so in the bupivacaine group.
