Abstract: Though spinal cord injury (SCI) causes irreversible sensory and motor impairments in human, adult zebrafish retain the potent regenerative capacity by injury-induced proliferation of central nervous system (CNS)-resident progenitor cells to develop new functional neurons at the lesion site.
