Epigenetics and island-mainland divergence in an insectivorous small mammal

Abstract: Geographically isolated populations, including island-mainland populations, tend to exhibit phenotypic variation in many species. The so-called island syndrome occurs when different environmental pressures lead to insular divergence from mainland populations.
