References iii present study, including differences in mice, convulsant purity, ACSF, rigs, and light source. When examining the differences between the present BIC model (lacking GABAergic inhibition) and a 4AP model (intact GABAergic inhibition), we noted differences in light directionality, fraction of unilateral events, IHLs, and number of bilateral events. Additionally, the 4AP model alone did not successfully demonstrate the temperature biased directionality seen in previous BIC studies. Thus, it remains unclear whether or not temperature directed seizure propagation can be achieved in cortical tissue. Nonetheless, our findings exemplify the importance of replication in science and provide important insight on the role of inhibition in epilepsy.
