Episiotomy pain relief: Use of Lavender oil essence in primiparous Iranian women

“…30 Sheikhan et al studied 60 primiparous women and showed the pain caused by episiotomy to have significantly decreased in the intervention group who had used small tubs filled with 5 L of water and 0.25 ml of lavender essential oil twice a day for 5 days compared to the control group. 31 Although in some studies, lavender was not the only compound used, it has been a fixed component of interventions in the various studies conducted on this subject.
