“…The maximum H 2 /CO molar ratio was obtained as 0.74 using a steam–O 2 mixture as a gasifying agent. Li et al reported the design and modeling of an ash agglomerating fluidized-bed gasifier using Aspen Plus for low-rank Chinese coal to produce synthetic natural gas (SNG). The exergy and energy efficiencies of the system were observed to be 55.3 and 61.5%, respectively, and the production cost (in CYN or Chinese Yuan) of SNG was found to be 1.87 CNY/Nm 3 by considering the coal price of 250 CNY/t in economic analysis. From the studies cited above, it can be inferred that utilizing the Aspen Plus simulation tool in modeling coal gasification processes involving multiple operating variables is very effective.…”
