Abstract:Quantifying equilibrium Sn isotope fractionation among
Sn-bearing
minerals is fundamental for understanding the partitioning of Sn isotopes
during various geological and cosmochemical processes. In this study,
we used first-principles calculations to evaluate equilibrium Sn isotope
fractionations among 13 Sn-bearing minerals. The Sn isotope reduced
partition function ratios (RPFRs or β factors) calculated with
the state-of-the-art r2SCAN functional decrease in the
order of brannockite > eakerite > megawite > c… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
