The main purpose of the article is to present a catalog of features of a useful mobile application in the context of responsible consumption. To recognize the usefulness of the application, examples of eco-applications were used, and representatives of the Z generation were asked about the features of the optimal application reasons for using them, and for whether they are worth recommending. The article uses the analysis of domestic and foreign literature, as well as the results of own research carried out in the first quarter of 2023, in which 747 respondents participated. The hypotheses confirmed that the most important feature of a useful application from a functionality perspective is the lack of fees for its use; from a technical solutions perspective, speed of operation, and from a security perspective, payment protection. The hypothesis that more promoters of pro-environmental mobile applications are in the group of women was also positively verified.

This study aims to examine a user-centered environment-friendly mobile phone app for tourists and residents in Saudi Arabia. To achieve this objective, a new fuzzy decision-making model is constructed. In this scope, by considering a detailed literature examination, eight criteria are identified. Facial expression-based quantum spherical DEMATEL with golden cuts are taken into consideration to examine the possible impact and directions among these criteria. The main contribution of this study is that priority factors in the development of the environment-friendly tourism mobile application can be identified. Moreover, facial expressions of the decision-makers are considered in the fuzzy decision-making analysis. This situation helps us to achieve more appropriate results. The findings demonstrate that user-centeredness is the most significant environment-friendly mobile application performance criterion of the tourism industry. Additionally, functionality is another important determinant with respect to this situation. It is of great importance to ensure customer satisfaction for the mobile applications used in the development of tourism to be successful. Thus, user feedback should be taken into consideration for them to work more effectively. Furthermore, tourism applications should provide users with fast and accurate information. In this context, mobile applications should offer customized offers to users to increase customer satisfaction.

In this research, Sea-condition Emergency Alert and Warning Apparatus for Vessel Safety (SEAWAVES) is a watercraft tracking and monitoring system developed and deployed to monitor watercraft and sea conditions to provide a safer and more resilient marine communication system. The proposed method puts together an application of contemporary technology using the fused location provider Application Programming Interface (API) to retrieve the device’s current location. In addition to managing the underlying location technologies, like Global Positioning System (GPS) and Wi-Fi, the fused location provider offers a straightforward API that you may use to specify the desired level of service. The work includes calibrating the compass, GPS, and Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) for watercraft tracking and monitoring using Android sensors of mobile phones. The GPS provides the present site of the watercraft; General packet radio service (GPRS) sends the tracking information to the server and thus an alert message generated is transmitted to the registered monitoring systems. This scheme is deployed in the watercraft to monitor location and sea conditions, which are to be determined on the web page and supervised in real-time. Hence, if the watercraft is at a critical level, alert messages will be sent to the monitoring system, and the registered mobile phone number of the watercraft. Also a warning display and sound are produced by the device. The SEAWAVES tracking and monitoring system could be recommended for use onboard a watercraft throughout the country for effective management and monitoring of the performance of such watercraft, and low-cost instrumentation as a stand-alone system through modern technologies.
