Abstract:By inversion of the fish bone optical model phase shifts for e-160 scattering we confirm the presence of a Pauli barrier in the surface region of the corresponding equivalent local potential. In the interior the potential depth increases with decreasing energy, in agreement with the semiclassical results of Horiuchi. The advantages of the inversion method for the determination of equivalent local potentials are discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
