Equivalent local potentials and phase approach to low-energy scattering parameters

Abstract: It is shown that the use of the McTavish-Kermode-Melhem-type equivalent local potentials linearizes algorithms of the variable-phase approach needed to compute the low-energy scattering parameters. A case study is presented to demonstrate the merit of the linearized equations, with particular emphasis on the relationship between the interpolating scattering length function and potential functions.
