Abstract: Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome (BHD syndrome) is an autosomal dominant multisystem disorder with variable expression due to pathogenic constitutional variants in the FLCN gene. Patients with BHD syndrome are predisposed to benign cutaneous fibrofolliculomas/trichodischomas, pulmonary cysts with an associated risk of spontaneous pneumothorax, and renal cell carcinoma.
