Abstract: SummaryBackground. Erosive pustular dermatitis of the scalp, also known as amicrobial pustulosis of the scalp, is a rare chronic disorder of unknown etiology mainly reported in elderly individuals. It is characterized by sterile pustules, erosions and crusted lesions, which ultimately result in scarring alopecia.
