Recent research has discussed the difficulties with implementing ERP systems, and the opportunities associated with the use of these systems in university contexts, but has not examined the experiences that internal stakeholders, particularly in African contexts puzzled by certain technology, have with these systems in the period after the systems "go-live". This study explored these experiences, at one Flagship University in Botswana. Students, academic and administrative staff were surveyed about their familiarity with using the ERP system and the barriers they faced. Additional qualitative data probed into motives for ERP system use and concerns thereof. Findings revealed that the stakeholders showed high familiarity with, and usage of, the ERP modules tailored to their particular needs. The motives for use were mainly related to management efficiency and customer satisfaction, but not information accuracy. Information inaccuracy was an obstacle, along with academic and administrative staff relapse into old habits, weaknesses in the transitional change management, a detached persona of the university administration, and inadequate training/support, particularly for stakeholders who were not part of the system development. The gravest barriers were experienced these stakeholders. Importantly, the study offered insights into how the barriers and concerns held can be mitigated.

RESUMÉMalgré une exposition des paysans aux Tics sur l'information de production agricole, la contribution de ceux-ci dans ce domaine n'est encore satisfaisante. Par conséquent, une étude a été menée pour informer notre audience sur les facteurs affectant l'utilisation de ces Tics par une révision des Tics et les articles publiés sur ces Tics en utilisant la Théorie Ancrée. Les facteurs avantage relatif, compatibilité, simplicité, l'influence sociale, observabilité, alphabétisation, savoir-faire Tics et qualité de l'information affectent positivement l'utilisation de ces Tics tandis que et le cout excessif des Tics affectent négativement leurs utilisations. Mots-clés: Tics, agriculture, intrants agricoles, paysans, accès, utilisation ABSTRACTDespite farmers' exposition to ICTs on agricultural input information, their contribution to the access and use of agricultural input information is far from expectation. This study therefore, reviewed these ICTs in developing countries to extract the factors that affect ICTs' adoption by small-scale famers using the Grounded Theory. The factors Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Simplicity, Social Influence, Observability, Literacy, ICTs' Skills were identified as affecting positively ICTs' use while the High Cost was identified as negatively affecting these ICTs.

O agronegócio se apresenta como importante fator para economia brasileira e global, sendo assim, este fenômeno se mostra importante para aprofundamento das pesquisas acadêmicas por parte de seu desenvolvimento como modelo de negócios. Através desta pesquisa bibliométrica é possível aprofundar sobre o desenvolvimento deste fenômeno na academia, que, conforme apontam os dados, tem se mostrado de grande interesse para economias como a Brasil e EUA, e que as pesquisas sobre esta temática caminham próximo ao pensamento da economia destes países, conforme apontado pelo apoio dado as fontes de fomento. Dessa forma, este estudo apresenta o fenômeno crescente na economia global, através da pesquisa via Web of Science, e que acompanha o mesmo como desenvolvimento econômico.
