We investigated the Ising model on a square lattice with ferro and antiferromagnetic interactions modulated by the quasiperiodic Octonacci sequence in both directions of the lattice. We have applied the Replica Exchange Monte Carlo (Parallel Tempering) technique to calculate the thermodynamic quantities of the system. We obtained the order parameter, the associated magnetic susceptibility (χ) and the specific heat (c) in order to characterize the universality class of the phase transition. Also, we use the finite size scaling method to obtain the critical temperature of the system and the critical exponents β, γ and ν. In the low temperature limit we have obtained a continuous transition with critical temperature around T c ≈ 1.413. The system obeys the Ising universality class with logarithmic corrections. We found estimatives for the correction exponents β, γ and λ by using the finite size scaling technique.

In this paper, we have considered a quadratic variation of the deceleration parameter (q) as a function of cosmic time (t) which describes a smooth transition from the decelerating phase of the Universe to an accelerating one and also show some distinctive feature from the standard model. The logical move of this article is against the behavior of the future Universe, i.e. whether the Universe expands forever or ends with a Big Rip, and we observe that the outcome of the considered parametrization comes in favor of Big Rip future of the Universe. The whole set up of the parametrization and solution is taken in f (R, T ) theory of gravity for a spatially flat Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) geometry. Furthermore, we have considered the functional form of f (R, T ) function as f (R) + f (T ), where a quadratic correction of the geometric term R is adopted as the function f (R), and a linear matter term f (T ). We have investigated some features of the model by examining the behavior of physical parameters. Our primary goal here is to discuss the physical dynamics of the model in f (R, T ) gravity. We have found, the EoS parameter also has the same singularity as that of the Hubble parameter i.e. at the initial phase and at the Big Rip. The EoS parameter is explored in some detail for our choice of f (R, T ) function considered here. Different cases for f (R, T ) functional form for different values of the coupling parameters are discussed, and the evolution of the physical parameters is shown graphically.

Teleparallel gravity is a modified theory of gravity in which the Ricci scalar R of the Lagrangian replaced by the general function of torsion scalar T in action. With that, cosmology in teleparallel gravity becomes profoundly simplified because it is second-order theory. The article present a complete cosmological scenario in f (T) gravity with f (T) = T + β(−T) α , where α, and β are model parameters. We present the profiles of energy density, pressure, and equation of state (EoS) parameter. Next to this, we employ statefinder diagnostics to check deviation from the ΛCDM model as well as the nature of dark energy. Finally, we discuss the energy conditions to check the consistency of our model and observe that SEC violates in the present model supporting the acceleration of the Universe as per present observation.
