Erratum: Determination of the quantum part of the truly nonperturbative Yang-Mills vacuum energy density in covariant gauge QCD [Phys. Rev. D62, 076008 (2000)]

Abstract: Using the effective potential approach for composite operators, we have formulated a general method of calculation of the truly nonperturbative YangMills vacuum energy density in the covariant gauge QCD ground state quantum models. It is defined as an integration of the truly nonperturbative part of the full gluon propagator over the deep infrared region (soft momentum region). A nontrivial minimization procedure makes it possible to determine the value of the soft cutoff in terms of the corresponding nonpertu… Show more

“…Thus, in order to correctly calculate the Bag constant in accordance with the above-mentioned definition, it is necessary to replace the full Lorentz structure by its TNP counterpart due to the prescription (9.6) within our method. For how to correctly define and actually calculate the Bag constant from first principles, by making all the necessary subtractions at all levels, see [26,27].…”

“…We have shown, both numerically and analytically, that interactions of supersymmetric wave modes with the YMC lead to similar energy swap effect from the YMC to the (pseudo) scalar wave modes as it was earlier observed for the vector wave modes. We also studied the heterogenic system of two interacting YMCs in the ( ) 4 …”

“…The attempt to identify the vacuum energy density with the bag constant has a long history (see e.g. [31,32,33]). The difficulty in making a credible identification has been that the contribution gluons to the vacuum energy density appears to be much larger than the empirical bag constants (Table I) whereas the energy density due to the light quark condensate is of the same order.…”
