Abstract:We derive formulae for the error probability of M-ary frequency shift keying with a limiter-discriminator detector in a satellite mobile channel, which includes as special cases the land mobile (Rayleigh) channel and the Gaussian channel. The received signal in this channel is composed of a specular signal, a diffuse signal and white Gaussian noise; hence the composite signal is fading with a Rician envelope. The error probability depends on the signal-to-noise ratio, the power ratio of the specular and diffus… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
