“…Tectonic activities like uplift could be recorded by a flight of fluvial strath terraces on river banks (Cunha et al, 2008;Gong et al, 2014;Fu et al, 2016), especially in the Tibetan Plateau and nearby regions (e.g., Lavé and Avouac, 2001;Vance et al, 2003). The Minjiang River situated at the eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau (Figure 1) is the main tributary of the Yangtze River and has been widely investigated to understand the relationship between river erosion and tectonic movements (Figure 1; Tang et al, 1991;Chen et al, 1994;Zhao et al, 1994;Kirby et al, 2000;Zhou et al, 2000;Yang et al, 2003;Li et al, 2005;Ma et al, 2005;Gao and Li, 2006;Wu et al, 2009;Liu et al, 2013). On the other hand, fluvial incisions along the banks of the Minjiang River and its tributary have also induced a number of large rockslides (Kirby et al, 2002;Wang et al, 2011;Wang et al, 2012;Zhao et al, 2019;Wu et al, 2020).…”
