Abstract: Representatives of this substance class are, for example, citrates or trimellitates. They are used as plasticizers, solvents, adhesives, coatings, inks or cosmetics, and personal care products. In general, these substances are of low acute toxicity after single as well as after repeated exposure. The available data show no genotoxic or carcinogenic effects.
