Abstract: La carencia de estaciones climatológicas por encima de 3.500 metros sobre el nivel del mar (msnm) en México condiciona que los estudios sobre ecosistemas de alta montaña sean realizados con datos de estaciones cercanas, pero sin considerar la diferencia altitudinal de la temperatura debida al relieve y al gradiente vertical.
