In the present study, outdoor gamma dose rates have been measured by using a
NaI(Tl) scintillation detector in 20 measurement points in the Tavsanly
district center of Kutahya province in Turkiye. Annual effective dose
equivalents and lifetime cancer risks have been calculated from the
obtained results as (106.64 ?6.20) ?Sv and (3.73 ?0.2) ?10-4, respectively.
The results have been compared with those of other studies for Turkiye and
the world literature
