Abstract:This work aims to estimate temperature-dependent thermal conductivity and heat capacity given measurements of temperature and heat flux at the boundaries. This estimation problem has many engineering and industrial applications, such as those for the building sector and chemical reactors. Two approaches are proposed to address this problem. The first method uses an integral approach and a polynomial approximation of the temperature profile. The second method uses a numerical solver for the nonlinear heat equat… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
