Abstract:Using Gumbel's extreme value theory method, this study looked into the probability of the largest earthquakes for different return periods in Zimbabwe. The Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS), the Northern California Earthquake Data Centre website, and UC Berkeley in the United States provided the data used for this study.
