“…In mid-and low-latitude countries, GIC can be a source of the transformers' failures through the transformer insulation repeated heating [11,12]. Over the last few years, substantial magnetic field rates of change have also been noticed in near-equator latitudes at coronal mass ejecta arrival moments [13,14] and even in the quiet period of the solar activity cycle 24 (the year 2017) at Malaysia region [15].
