The procedures used in obtaining _samnle -size are based, usually, on previously taken observed va lues or on information contained,in an initial sample. In . e, this last case, this sample will furnish parameter estima tes which will be used in ge _ tting :t he best sample-size.Therefore , those estimates are actually random variables because the initial samole is taken. ran domly from the population •.The objectives of this dissertation are:the study of probab. ility distributions of the random sam ple-size by several sample techniques and, based on this distr f butions, to obtain the expected values for the sam ple-size.
