Ethyl 2-[4-(4-methoxybenzyl)-3-methyl-6-oxopyridazin-1-yl]acetate

Abstract: In the title molecule, C17H20N2O4, the inner part of the ester substituent is nearly perpendicular to the dihydropyridazine ring, forming a dihedral angle of 83.21 (7)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers are formed by pairwise C—H...O interactions with the dimers connected into chains extending along the b-axis direction by C—H...π(ring) interactions. The chains are connected by π-stacking interactions to give corrugated layers parallel to the ab plane. The terminal ethyl group is disordered over two two sets o… Show more

“…In addition, N-arylacetamide derivatives with their wide spectrum of activities (e.g., Missioui et al, 2022) have significant importance as intermediates in organic chemistry. As a continuation of a our work in synthesizing new N-arylacetamide derivatives (e.g., Mortada et al, 2023), and developing new pyridazine-3(2H)-one compounds (e.g., Zaoui et al, 2022), the title compound C 20 H 17 ClFN 3 O 2 was synthesized and its crystal structure is reported here.…”
