Abstract:Objective. To determine the etiopathogenetic risk factors for the development of infective endocarditis, taking into account demographic and gender characteristics in patients undergoing mitral valve surgery.
Materials and methods. The study included 107 patients who underwent mitral valve surgery. There were 74 men and 33 women.
