Various dislocation processes observed on b.c.c. metals and alloys during in situ straining experlinelits in a high voltage electron microscope, are reported at' low and intermediate temperatures. Interaction of dislocations with forest or impurity obstacles and multiplication mechanisms are discussed. in t h e rase of a high frictional lattice force on screws. Methods for quantitative analysis of recordings are developed. 1) B.P. 4347, 31 055 Toulouse Cedex, France. 2, Reported on the International Symposium on In-situ UHV Electron Microscopy, Halle, April 1979.
