“…It is noteworthy that values of our parameters determined for the devices assembled with different photoanodes are in good agreement with those given in the literature. 18,46,47 Devices with TT, NT, TN and NN photoanodes exhibit average PCEs of 4.38 ± 0.07, 4.35 ± 0.1, 6.04 ± 0.06 and 4.08 ± 0.04 with V oc values of 0.585, 0.639, 0.627 and 0.586 V, respectively. Trends in V oc values mainly follow expectations anticipated by examination of MS analysis giving energy differences between flat-band potential.…”

“…It can be seen that the V oc of the S 3 (0.66 V) was higher than that obtained from the S 2 (0.64 V). The V oc is determined by the chemical potential of the electrolyte and the Fermi level of the semiconductor oxide [37]. As seen in Scheme 2a, the S 3 showed a more negative E fb value, so the difference between the Fermi level of S 3 and the redox potential of I − /I 3 − would be larger, and the corresponding V oc will be higher.…”

“…The electrochemical stability of the MoS 2 /FTO CE should provide long-term stability for solar cell devices. However, more work needs to be done to improve the efficiency of this DSSC device [36][37][38][39].…”
